A small backyard sewing studio space. The wall is lined with timber boards and the room glows from the warmth of the lights. There is a large white cutting table that takes up most of the back wall. There are baskets drawers underneath with labels for supplies. Projects are stacked along the back of the table. There are shelves and a wardrobe stacked with fabrics, ribbons and other sewing supplies. A coat hanger in the shape of a cat wearing a sweater, hangs from a curtain rod on the back frosted window. The corner of a computer desk and sewing table can be seen in the foreground.

The studio clean up is done! The overflow is mostly sorted. Next up are the piles of things that magically keep appearing all over the house.

There is absolutely no reason why a toy should have an AI feature. None!

I’m currently flicking through an embroidery book from 1998.
There are some cool techniques used throughout, but the colours and fabric choices are not my thing. Lots of jewel colours & metallic threads. And those Australiana colours that were everywhere in 90’s couture fashion. No thanks!

Totally agree Paul. This was a heartbreaking story.

Me too! It was only when I clicked through to the article and read the photo caption, that I understood what was actually happening. I thought it was AI slop!πŸ˜‚

Ghislaine Maxwell’s horse was named Bubba, apparently. πŸ˜‚
I cannot confirm this rumour. It was told to me by my daughter.

Can we please bring in a law that shops can only play Christmas Carols for 1 week before Christmas and no sooner?

Porters paints are good for a milky finish with slight texture. I’m not sure what the color range is, but I’m sure there’s a dusty pink/raspberry colour available.
They are pricey though.

That’s the cutest damn kitten ever! (Actually, I lie. All kittens are cute.)

Wow! That's impressive. (The scale of the bookshelf and the the fact that it's vintage teak!)

The rain has decided for me.
There shall be no more gardening today.
(I got some seeds in pots, so that was something productive.)

We all know that I wrote Mum, and didn’t accidentally hit the i instead of the u, right?

My daughter’s boyfriend gave me a lovely display cabinet that his Mim no longer wanted. But until that daughter moves out, I have nowhere to put it.

Only the popular kids have fond memories of high school. And for many of them, that’s the peak in their lives.

Currently watching the latest Superman movie.
Nothing will beat the Christopher Reeve movies. And Margot Kidder as the OG Lois Lane.😘
This version has me feeling nothing.

I never expected this tree to get so big and live for so long. I expected it to die after 5 years or so, as my other ones have done. But it’s as healthy as a horse and the birds love it, so I’m happy it’s in my yard.

The large wattle tree that I planted many years ago, is currently raining pollen and flowers all over my back yard.
It’s making a bit of a mess, so I guess I can’t complain when the neighbour gets the blower out to clean his pool area.

A grey felt box with black hand stitching on the seams, is sitting on a grey laminate table.

Two down, one to go.
My fingers and hands are a bit sore now, what with the stitching and the sawing from earlier today.
But yay, the end is in sight for a clean, usable studio space.😊

Currently making felt tubs for my craft trolley because I can’t in good conscience bring another plastic tub into this house.

Remember the saying β€œMeasure twice, cut once”?
Obviously I didn’t because I had to cut my panel twice.
With a hand saw, no less.
But the shelf is done and the organisation is moving along nicely now. (If you ignore the pile of stuff outside the door that I need to find space for.)

The studio cleanup is going slow because I don't have access to power tools that I'm confident in using, & the handyman is away. I get so frustrated when I can't bring an idea to fruition due to lack of drop saw skills. Looks like the hardware person will have to cut my timber to size tomorrow.

I’m not too fussed about it because it’s good for the garden. But it would be nice if the rain could stick to midweek & keep the weekends rain free for markets & festivals. There’s so much going on this time of year.
Is that asking too much?

I nearly punted my pc screen through the wall when I saw the "Ask Bunnings AI" text at the top of the Bunnings web page.

I’ve been dealing with this recently. 😒 I never thought I’d have to manage my anxiety as well as my cat’s.
