Sony’s Latest State of Play Felt Like a Classic E3 Showcase Sony’s recent State of Play event tapped into a magic we haven’t felt since the days of E3.

Alright, here’s my thoughts on everything we saw at the State of Play!

This was one of the best showings Sony has had in years, and there were SO MANY fun games to write about!

Just finished the demo for Darwin’s Paradox and I’m calling it now: this is going to be one of the surprise hits of the year.

This playful and silly mix of stealth, platforming, and puzzles makes for one of the best demos I’ve played in years. If you have a PS5 then you need to play it ASAP.

It’s so good!

Just finished the demo for Mina the Hollower.

A challenging but fair throwback to the action-adventure games of the 80s and 90s. Loved the retro visuals, combat, and digging mechanic. I also didn’t play Shovel Knight, so I wasn’t aware that Yacht Club Games was on this level.

My 5,000+ word post on the State of Play is finished and will be going live tomorrow morning! Debated on waiting until after Valentine’s Day, but I want to get this thing out there 😅
