Very long day, but the little is recovering well in his room from a long day in the OR. Already saw him make an angry face when he was getting moved around.

I had forgotten that he's only 19. Nick Foligno was there too, but he made it around the corner before anyone got a chance to realize what was happening.

For the couple friends over here- Lucas is scheduled for his Glenn (open heart) on Monday. We had been in the city for a cardiac clinic and Cath check, but his O² saturation started dropping and he was admitted. 5 day stay turned into a month.

We were heading down to get coffee at Lurie Children's yesterday when a couple people in Blackhawks jerseys stepped out. Imagine my surprise.

Apparently smashing my finger between dumbbells last week was the motivation I needed to get over my fear of the barbell bench. Who knew?

The second hand tragedies were not something I had really prepared myself for in the medical parent world. This is going to get harder as the boys get older and get closer and start making friends.

I need to make sure I get a Switch lite before Lucas's next surgery. Doom scrolling doesn't seem like a good idea and it's too hard to focus on reading with the beeps. A couple decades of Zelda seems like a better way to spend my time.
