A picture of the Manage Apps settings in Google Drive via mobile browser viewed in Desktop Mode showing the option to uncheck Gemini
For the fellow Android users, it's very conveniently hidden in the app so go to your drive on a browser and view in Desktop Mode if you're not able to do it via PC ๐

Gemini was checked "use as default" (and i sure the fuck didn't set it that way, this was a silent push)
Nuke that, and suddenly, folders that took up to a minute to populate and sort do so in a fraction of a second.

When I worked in WaPo Opinions in 2017-2018, senior editors specifically told junior editors not to factcheck Marc Thiessen and other MAGA columnists, otherwise they wouldnโt be able to publish anything by them at all, and โwe need them for intellectual diversity.โ

Anger has spilled over in Tanzania ๐น๐ฟ on Friday as hundreds of protesters face off with police in the nationโs commercial capital, Dar es Salaam, on the third day of sustained protests.
The protests have spread across the country, and the government has now been forced to postpone the reopening of colleges and universities, which had been set for next Monday. All public servants have been ordered to work from home to limit the movement of nonessential staff.
Crowds in several big cities, including Dar es Salaam, the commercial capital, and Arusha, a tourist gateway, chanted for the army to take over the country, in what some describe as the biggest challenge to the ruling party since independence in 1961.
When the protests broke out on Wednesday, President Samia Suluhu Hassan's government shut down the internet, imposed a curfew and deployed the military to the streets.

I've got plenty of op-eds, wiki pages, etc. but more reliable sources seem... difficult to nail down.

Itโs the racism, for sure. But I have also wondered if there is a certain bias I donโt have a name for โ like, his natural athleticism makes him read as an action star even when he is doing drama?? So (especially white out-of-touch) voters donโt see him as an actor?
Or itโs just the racism.
