I would be more than happy to help out - off the bat usethis::use_github_actions() will give you a base to work off of and from there I would imagine {kaltoa} has some more in depth setup due to its reliance on C++, meaning you'll need to edit the yaml.

#30daymapchallenge | Day 22 Data: Natural Earth | The Great Islands

Earlier this summer I finished this print version of my map from last year depicting our Great Lakes as islands. Been trying to learn more about lighting techniques in Blenderβ€”I think this was a big leap forward from 2024 version!

Closing the fisheries will not change the decline. There are many environmental factors here that are largely out of our control that are causing the decline. Tighter envi. Regs, will help, and citizen doing their part. By closing it you end up ruining many people’s livelihood.

Michigan lawmakers seek $500M to stop mussels, save Great Lakes whitefish - Bridge Michigan US Reps. Debbie Dingell and Tim Walberg are planning legislation to boost research to control invasive mussels, following Bridge Michigan reporting about the impending collapse of whitefish.

Michigan lawmakers want to greatly increase funding for invasive mussel control research in the #GreatLakes to $500 million over the next 10 years - as Great Lakes Fishery Commission's Greg McClinchey says in this article: "Mussels are this generation’s sea lamprey" bridgemi.com/michigan-env...

It seems like parse argument is now the the suggested way to handle this at least that's my brief view just skimming it, but the PR they implemented on the issue for now seems to have made this fixed

This closed issue from September may still exist in v4.0.0 but maybe if installing dev version it is fixed.

Why wouldn’t it be? There’s two observations at the same y axis level so why couldn’t this also be in that distribution. Maybe I don’t understand your question. I’m also guessing the x axis is age and y axis is something like GSI?

Some good advice in here but one critical piece I always give is this:

Get a hobby. Preferably a mildly social one. One that has NOTHING TO DO WITH SCIENCE. NOTHING.

You need friends. Not colleagues. FRIENDS. Friends who will love you no matter your research prospects...

Obviously, and laughably wrong. Whales do not in fact fly into windmill blades. Entanglement in fishing gear, and getting hit by ships is the main cause of right whale deaths. And the other whale species are doing just fine in the Atlantic.
