From Dec 4–6, Rochefort hosted the first Francophone Ornithology Conference in 10+ years organized by @lpofrance.bsky.social . Great talks and discussions on bird conservation with many passionate researchers. I also presented my PhD project on shorebird associations. πŸͺΏπŸ¦‰

Last year the EU challenged the UK's closure of industrial sandeel fishing in its waters.

These closures are a lifeline for the millions of seabirds which rely on sandeels for food.

Reversing them would be a blow for hungry Puffins, Kittiwakes, and other birds.
