I went to Madison last weekend for a meeting, before which I had time to visit one of the last Dane County Farmers Markets of the season. On one corner is the pasty shop (shown), which was there 40+ years ago and was one of my favorite shops then. I bought a coffee and chatted with the young owner.

To call it 'the most corrupt administration in US history' does not do it justice; that so understates the degree of corruption as to be almost false.

They have in fact instituted a new regime in which officeholders treat the public's thing—the republic—as their personal property...like kings do.

After listening to panelists after the program, I think it helps to look at it all with the sense that the promises of 1776 were broken for many already then, but that our goal is to keep moving closer to them. For the ideals were great and revolutionary. First, we must stop the current backsliding.

This was part of a Wisconsin Historical Society conference on local preservation. In an era when so many freedoms are being eroded, I have been unsure how to look at the US' 250th anniversary next year.

My outing this evening was a preview of the upcoming PBS show about the American Revolution by Ken Burns, at the wonderful Al. Ringling Theater in downtown Baraboo, Wis. The organist is playing old standards as people arrive.

I was house captain at the North Western depot, now part of the Corinne Reid-Owens Transit Center. Preservation Racine played an important role in saving the building when it was neglected and threatened with demolition, and now it is well cared for by the City of Racine and the RYDE Racine.

Perfect weather yesterday for the Preservation Racine Tour of Historic Places. I appreciate all the volunteers and visitors who supported it. Many hours went into planning the event at seven locations, with some additional obstacles this year, and so it is gratifying to see it all turn out well.

@ packersdaily has been restored to its former status, one message from 10 months ago (without boobies on it). Let's see how long until the next hacked account takes over Kevin's posts.

There is logic in that, but first he has to get back in. He was able to use the "forgotten password" link to get a reset email from Bluesky, but it didn't work. Now he's waiting for the support group to write back to him.

I’ve reported the fourth account, @ packersdaily.bsky.social, but as soon as Bluesky suspends one, a new one starts transmitting.

Day 2 of my spouse's @kevinshirley53403.bsky.social account being hacked. The hacker’s M.O. seems to be to find low-activity accounts (like Kevin’s), take them over, transmit unwanted sexual content, and retransmit it with the other hacked accounts.

I'm sure you're right.

And now a step backwards - another account, "at sign"whatdoyousee94.bsky.social, has taken over Kevin's account and is posting the same sexual content as before. I've reported this latest one, but his followers can help by also reporting it.

The "plef" account has been suspended, which is a step forward.

To the followers of @kevinshirley53403.bsky.social: His account has been hacked by "at-sign" plef.bsky. social (who, in turn, since yesterday is sending out messages with sexual content). We have reported this, but in the meantime, it would help if any of Kevin's followers also reported it.
