While the government was shut down, 379 NIH study section meetings (containing 24,380 grant applications) were postponed. NIH is committed to getting these reviewed, but please be patient and understanding with staff, as this is a complex and heavy lift.

If you are serving on NIH study sections that have been cancelled, PLEASE continue to work on your reviews. NIH will do everything their power to ensure the meetings happen eventually, and the more prepared you are when those meetings are rescheduled, the better.

This is the D'Angelo performance that I've never forgotten. This song was already a huge hit but the way he took it from contemporary R&B to church revival illustrated how connected those idioms are. A revelation for those who didn't know, and an affirmation for those who did.

I'm so glad to see people lifting up this song, thought it had been forgotten.

I saw him on the Voodoo tour and it was so obvious who was there for "Untitled" D'Angelo (most of the audience) and who was also there for the "Brown Sugar"/"U Will Know" D'Angelo (seemingly a handful of us).

‼️ I never liked his incredible music being reduced solely to the “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” video. The Voodoo tour caused him a lot of pain.
