It is fucking insane that we had a decade of people complaining about the dangers of cancel culture, and now literally hundreds of thousands of people are being purged from government jobs for ideological reasons, but that is not cancel culture.

A custom water-cooled PC housed in a cast aluminum ouroboros runs a looping mod of Counter-Strike, where two bots endlessly kill each other. The aluminum doubles as both frame and radiator, warming the serpent’s body to a lifelike temperature.

You don’t have to believe this, and that’s your right. But as long as I live here, I have no choice but to believe something better is possible.
I’ll accept no less. This has to be a turning point for our laws, our constitution, and our collective future. We have no choice but to make it right.

While I don't blame anyone for distancing themselves from the US, I will say it won’t always be like this. Once we restore full, competent democracy, we’ll close the loopholes that allowed this to happen and set ourselves up for a better, more stable and respectable future.
