Republicans not pushing for the removal of Stephen Miller, Noam, and Greg Bovino is political suicide. Their perspectives are so wildly outside of the mainstream, they are dragging down support for DHS and the Republican party in general. Per CNN, approval of ICE is down 27 pts. Noam is -16 pts.

With time, people become inured to the violence. And eventually a small portion of the population will decide that yes, the violence is bad, but it is an unavoidable tragedy.

Alexander Pretti's murder was only one murder too far if the American people make it so.

I worry that we are in the Columbine phase of this tragedy. Yes, people are outraged and sentiment is shifting. But when the democracy is not responsive, the problem calcifies.

It’s also a poor attempt at deflecting blame to the state. Nobody is buying that these murders are the result of SNAP fraud, sanctuary policies, or Minnesota’s voter roles. They are the result of decisions by Congress to fund an agency with a growing body count and no accountability.

Yes, it’s extortion. Yes it’s an attempt to undermine the coming election.
