FYI, discussing things like trans people leaving the US or seeking asylum or anything like that is completely pointless, inapplicable, and not a realistic option at all for 99% of the trans community in the US. They will not be able to pursue any of that and will not be able to get out. That's it.

Attributing that win to Biden in any form is a folly. Those rights were hard-won in court by Lambda Legal and Dana Zzym. Biden's administration pushed off implementing those changes until they were forced to, years after the court case was won.

The question that was asked of her is if trans people deserve to be able to get gender- affirming healthcare. Not specifically about prisoners, about anyone at all. Listen to the interview again; she streamers through even giving that noncommittal answer and refused to stand up for us.

At the time of that interview (and currently), my medical care is restricted by law to ONLY MDs. I had an appointment cancelled citing the law because it was set up with a Nurse Practitioner, who by law, could not see me, even for a follow-up to teach me how to inject my already-prescribed HRT.
