05.10.2025 17:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We have heard that the Green Party has passed a motion at conference calling for desegregation of trans healthcare and to end the practice of GICs and to move it to primary care.
And you can definitely see why they voted for it here:

Let's be clear: this is the result of deliberate political choices to make accessing trans healthcare substantially impossible. It's what Streeting and his ilk want.
04.10.2025 09:00 β π 922 π 319 π¬ 19 π 4lots more to come this month in this new investigative series The Gender Clinic Files from @wearequeeraf.com and @whatthetrans.com β look out for the first podcast featuring @clairestranstalks.bsky.social diving deep into the data on Monday. Claire has done immense work on this ππ»
04.10.2025 09:04 β π 37 π 14 π¬ 2 π 0Glasgow Gender Clinic now has a waiting time of 224 years. The average across the UK is now 25 years.
This segregated system isnβt working and is wasting millions. The NHS has been told time and again - informed consent now.
Around 1 in 5 of the entire trans+ population is on an NHS waiting list, up from 1 in 8 two years ago.
04.10.2025 07:04 β π 20 π 8 π¬ 1 π 2ποΈπ¨ After painstaking research, dozens of FOIs and months of analysis we release the Gender Clinic Files which reveal waiting times for every GIC in the country.
They lay bare, how far off the mark the Health Secretary's estimation of the average wait is π

Some Pride organisers contacted by QueerAF had a βnot to worryβ approach to the new policing bill β because Pride events are not a site of βcriminal activity', so police wonβt be able to use the powers at Pride.
But recent history tells a different story.
"Pride started as a queer uprising against police brutality β our elders surely would have taken this expansion of police powers seriously and fought back. Why arenβt we?" - @vic-parsons.bsky.social

Shout out to Cornwall Resists whose protest against Nigel Farage's attendance at a far-right event in Redruth was so effective, he has written an "Angry of Clacton" letter to the Home Secretary www.cornwalllive.com/news/cornwal...

i met Caroline Litman at Trans+ Pride London in 2022 and took her picture, along with her daughter, Kate. reading HER NAME IS ALICE made me cry just as much as i did then. a must-read for those curious about trans people and those who love us, beyond the sensationalist media headlines.
31.01.2025 12:36 β π 7 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0when i heard that Will Ferrell was making a trans movie i was so surprised.. and then i watched Will & Harper and found it empathetic, sensitive and funny! i reviewed the documentary for the i paper:

also for Gay Times i explored the challenges and fears that trans people in their 50s, 60s and 70s have around death, dying and bereavement, and how organisations likes GIRES and Alternative Care Services are working on these issues
