I only resubscribed a couple of weeks ago when I found out the RCA was "representing" me by opposing this. We're in the spooky Del Ray + Rosemont overlap triangle so we get to deal with being "represented" by two CAs.

Yeah, I'm guessing Google penalizes the stoplights but not the extra stop signs, turns and unmarked crossings.

I pointed this out on the listserv. The response was that Google Maps says that the detour routes are only 1 minute longer each despite the much longer distance. Because apparently cyclists will take the detours at 15 mph but stick to 11 mph on Braddock
