Doesn’t make sense. They just extended him. Unless he hid his discontent really well why would they extend him if he was not on board with the direction of the front office.

Multiple ways of evaluating this trade and all show Nico made a bad deal. Did Mavs do better than reaching the finals? No. Did Mavs get best deal possible? No. Did Mavs make the best business decision? No-massive losses predicted. Did they increase their chances of doing better in the future? No.

Dirk is THE symbol of what it means to be a Mav. Him being there showed that there’s been clean break between the team today and what it was in the past.

This just does not make sense. It can’t just be conditioning. You trade Luka when he’s 30 if you are worried about conditioning and just suffer thru his injuries in the meantime.

Nico has said over and over that he overweights for the locker room. Is this because there was some tension with Luka and others on the team or coaching staff??

Has anyone looked more deeply into whether reducing num of games might increase ratings/interest per game enough to offset the loss of games? There would be short term losses for sure but long term maybe you come out close to the same?

Is there a significant jump in quality if Mavs get into the low lottery range (12-14) rather than 16-20? I really haven’t been following this draft class.
