Things you should never do to introverts:
1. Show up to our homes unexpectedly.
2. Interrupt our recharge time.
3. Invite people to the outing without telling us.
4. Call us right after we texted you.
5. Ask us βwhy are you so quiet?β

Introverts donβt recharge with sleep, we recharge by being left completely alone for 3β5 business days

Me: my phone is always on silent
Them: donβt you miss calls?
Me: yes :)
I hate the misconception that introverts donβt like talking. If youβre the right person, weβll talk to you for hours on end about pretty much anything. However, itβs incredibly difficult to find the right people, so for the most part weβll probably just stay quiet

Without them, needs get trampled.
With them, we cannot breathe.
Boundaries arenβt selfish - theyβre the architecture of connection.
Theyβre not keeping others out - theyβre how we are able to have relationships that honour us.
Yes, you certainly can. Happy birthday, brave boy! β€οΈ

It's ok to be interested in things and nerdy about things.
It's okay to be "weird" and different.
If it's not harming anyone else, what's the problem.

You need space.
Understanding.
Regulation (both self and co)
Tools that make sense for you.
You're not broken.
And you're certainly not alone.
People think I'm shy or anti-social when I say I'm an introvert. It might seem that way, but I'm just very aware of who I give my time to

I think a lot of neurotypical people would be surprised at just how many autistic people go through life wondering for years if theyβre βreallyβ autistic, even after diagnosis

Can we normalize not taking it personally when someone wants to eat lunch alone? Sometimes people just need 30 quiet minutes to breathe, not make small talk. Itβs not antisocial, itβs self-care

Autistic burnout is pervasive, long-term (3+ months) exhaustion, loss of function, and reduced tolerance to stimulus. It's described as being the result of chronic life stress and a mismatch of expectations and abilities without adequate supports.

Happy as a clam? A clam? You mean those tiny things with no brain that just chill on the bottom of the ocean all day in their own little private shells and have absolutely no concept of whatβs going on in the nevermind I get it now
08.07.2025 12:45 β π 443 π 53 π¬ 9 π 3Increased awareness of Neurodivergence leads to increased diagnoses.
Not because of some fad or social contagion, but because more people recognise it in themselves and want to seek answers.
This happens for literally all other diagnoses too, so it shouldnβt be a surprise.
If someone can't physically/psychologically do something.... They can't do it.
That's not a "failure", it's just their reality.
Vancouver would be such an awesome city if people could actually afford to live there.

A few days after intense emotions, I'll get an equally intense loss in energy. I'll be unable to stay awake and the sleep doesn't rest me.
