6/ House Leadership was foolish to make this deplorable deal. Rep. Corcoran blasted it across social media, alerting people of faith to be on alert to oppose this bill in the fall. We will not allow refugees to be used as political pawns but instead love them as our neighbors.

5/ At churches across New Hampshire, volunteers devote long hours and many dollars to support refugees from Afghanistan, Ukraine, Africa, Bhutan and many other places. This deal is an insult and an injury to the churches who live their Christian values in refugee ministry.

4/ Governor Ayotte, VETO THIS BUDGET. Any budget that rests on cruelty toward the vulnerable falls beneath every Christian and American standard.

3/ He posted it openly on social media (see screenshots), so this is happening under all our noses. I'll say it again: THIS BUDGET PASSED ONLY ON THE BACKS OF VULNERABLE REFUGEES AND THOSE WHO SERVE THEM.

2/ Rep. Travis Corcoran was one of the NO votes on the budget. House leadership made a deal with Rep. Corcoran to flip him to a YES vote. What did they promise him? House Republican leadership promised to support a bill in the next session to strip Refugee Resettlement of its funding!

1/ So, last night the New Hampshire House passed the state budget by a narrow margin. The passage came after the budget failed by exactly one vote. What happened to turn that vote around? The deal was done in public and it is deplorable. #nhpolitics

Trump to sign executive order forming DOJ-led task force to root out 'anti-Christian bias' President Donald Trump said he'll form a Department of Justice led task force to "eradicate anti-Christian bias" within the federal government.

This, of course, will defend only Trump-supporting Christians. An Episcopalian bishop got threatened with deportation and Lutheran Social Services got attacked as money launderers, all by government officials, all in the past two weeks.

Episcopal Migration Ministries shouldn't have to suffer like this. I went to DC in 2019 to meet with them and tell our Senators in DC to raise refugee caps. They are a professional, class act all the way and this outcome is devastating on many levels.
