On top of being an awesome game, this was also my introduction to the musical ingenuity of Jake Kaufman. An excellent experience across the board!

Ware-wolf Campfire Stories was a blast to work on, and I want to give a shoutout to Serrotonin’s Love and Hate in particular. This game got a 2.0 update as a separate release, which is available now on itch. NGL I had a lot of fun working on the music too :)

For what it’s worth, losing the details you planned originally shifts the focus to the interesting shadow work you’ve done. She still a cool-looking mermaid :)

I loved Alundra, and it was such a bizarre mix of emotions. You can be talking to surfer elf guy or describing a key opening a door “like buttah” one moment, and watching the townsfolk perish as you fail to save them right after. I can’t think of a modern game that feels the same.

I’m a bit rusty here, but IME it’s good to set limits on takes you allow yourself. If you need to redo, go for it, but only give yourself 3-5 takes, for example. Stops perfectionism from forcing endless re-recordings, and spares your voice from additional strain

The game is rather charming on its own merits! I was delighted to be a part of it

I like the colored pencil approach; lends itself to shading in a way I find enjoyable.

Oof, I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with that. Doubly tough that one of the key ways to feel better (reaching out) is the last thing you feel like doing. :/

I struggle with this too. One of the overlooked effects of my particular ADHD is focusing only on what’s in front of me. Unfortunately that means I drop contact with a lot of friends and family without meaning to. Then x years go by and I feel too guilty to reach out.

Titan’s Mitt! Lift/pull/push all the things

I recently started music composition lessons! I love working with limited software (e.g. using Pulp to compose for Playdate games), but I get overwhelmed with modern DAWs and their complexity. Hoping to overcome that and make more robust videogame soundtracks in the future. :)

Do I want to see Peach completely drawn out and painted like the others? Yes! Was it very funny to see a finished Daisy and Rosalina next to a stick figure stand-in for Peach? Also yes. :)

Well this takes me back! I was entirely too young to know how the hell to play it well, but I put some time into Sega CD Dune. Never made enough spice to keep the Emperor happy :/
