Having a great bicycle socio-culture isn't the same thing as having a great bike transportation system & infrastructure, just as a prevailing car culture isn't the same thing as a safe & efficient system of car transportation for the masses

Two other letters to the editor defend Gomberg, glossing right over that part of the story. Is it ok to harangue staff or not?

I have begun commuting primary via bike, and probably 70% of my ride is this, which is wonderful, and lovely, and I wish y’all could have this commute as well.

Maybe to get bike parking at kite fests etc we need an Oregon Coast Climate Action Party. In line at a grocery store in David Gomberg's district, this story caught my eye & made me buy the Sunday paper. If a woman hadn't been ahead of me trying to get help figuring out the labyrinthine bus schedule I'd have missed it
