Trump: "The ones that are run by radical left Democrats -- what they've done to San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles. They're very unsafe places & we're gonna straighten them out one by one. This is gonna be a major part for some people in this room. That's a war too. It's war from within"

Really?
It cost Jimmy Kimmel his job.
Silly Jimmy Kimmel. He should have just called for all homeless people to be killed and heβd still have a job.
18.09.2025 00:23 β π 67610 π 16230 π¬ 1193 π 539The right to speak our minds and to disagree with each other - to disturb, even - is at the very heart of what it means to be a free people. It is not to be denied. Not by violence, not by the abuse of governmental power, nor by acts of corporate cowardice. As a Guild, we stand united in opposition to anyone who uses their power and influence to silence the voices of writers, or anyone who speaks in dissent. If free speech applied only to ideas we like, we needn't have bothered to write it into the Constitution. What we have signed on to - painful as it may be at times - is the freeing agreement to disagree. Shame on those in government who forget this founding truth. As for our employers, our words have made you rich. Silencing us impoverishes the whole world. The WA stands with Jimmy Kimmel and his writers.

One of the hallmarks of authoritarianism is to terrify people into self-censorship. ABC ending Kimmelβs show is the perfect example of this.

A student of Hitchcock who turned paranoia, voyeurism, and excess into a cinematic language of his own. For me, his best run was Carrie, Blow Out, Dressed to Kill, Body Double, and Carlitoβs Way.
Here are some things that Charlie Kirk said in his life.
The man is dead, and so it only seems fair to share his legacy by cataloguing the values he spread while alive.
Telling the truth is the only punishable crime in this media landscape.

07.09.2025 18:18 β π 16 π 4 π¬ 2 π 0Sometimes ambition without clarity isnβt bold, itβs just exhausting. Alien: Earth wastes high-concept ideas, turning what could be thought-provoking sci-fi into a confusing, hollow spectacle that feels cheapened. It lacks the cerebral edge and pacing that made this universe so unnerving. #AlienEarth
04.09.2025 20:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So far, my take on Alien: Earth: kids in adult bodies feels comedic. The xeno is shot like a man-in-a-rubber-suit, Peter Pan allegories that donβt land, a whole table scene devoted to unnecessary world building exposition, and cyborgs thrown in for no reason at all. Itβs very visual but tonally off.
04.09.2025 20:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Let me start by saying I had my issues with Romulus. It was nostalgia-heavy, predictable, and had CGI Ian Holm with unnecessary exposition, but at least it tried to respect the Alien franchise. I appreciate Noah trying to expand the universe, but Alien: Earth makes Romulus look like a masterpiece.
