I should say UK national, not resident. And it shows my English ignorance that I didn't know about the Common Travel Area. But it's still great. And after 5 years living in Ireland you can apply for naturalisation and get Irish citizenship and an EU passport.

After I felt so down this morning about the general state of the news, I did some research. And I learnt that as a UK resident you can just move to Ireland any time you like! Who knew?? I had no idea! I know Ireland might have its own problems, but it's not the UK and it's in the EU.

Feeling really stressed out by the news lately. It's all so horrible.
