We need >= 1 acre + access to medical, & can't afford to live near the coast

but then i'd have to reallocate my brain power that i'm using to plan out a story i'm working on about the last florida scrub jay in my county!

i think the ct-relo-project.rmd inside of my repo has some comments and refactored GIS code on pulling OSM data. that file is where i tried to keep notes about each datapoint because i wanted to write a blog *series*

i have source *data* in github.com/ryanscharf/c..., but the sources of each dataset aren't well documented. i had to manually curate all of the data sources (who knew getting details on airports you can actually fly out of would be so hard?)

Weather weights are based off the Universal Thermal Climate Index i calculated from era5 datasets. nat hazard weight is from a fema's national risk index and includes natural catastrophes and, iirc, social vulnerability.

frank corrigan had done this on a smaller scale (frankcorrigan.substack.com/p/where-shou...) and i decided to make it a shinyapp for my own use. i greatly expanded the existing metrics and added more for my interests.

the downside about discord is that it moves too fast :( even though it's me being one of the people that makes it move too fast, it's hard for people to keep up with and osmotic learning doesn't happen the same way.

I did sign up for it yesterday,but didn't pluck around with it much. It has more deployment options, but you can't deploy a shinyapp from GitHub without creating a manifest? It also has a limit of 20 active hours for the free tier which is a downgrade, by 5 hours from shinyapps.io

is shinyapps.io deprecated to make way for Connect Cloud? I'm used to publishing to shinyapps from RStudio but just realized that it's not available in #positron right now.

but, also, i saw a black and white warbler, yellow throated warbler, and palm warbler, but they weren't chatty enough to cause observations in birdnet.

ahhh. here's roughly what i have for the same time period. the coastal areas here have been getting a lot of the migrants, but i haven't seen _as_ many yet.
