Unacceptable. There are 189,000 people in my district who will be paying 50–300% more for the same, and in many cases worse, healthcare.

I won’t do that to the people I represent. I’m a NO on this “deal.”

I'm not boosting, nor am I crying that his comms are doing a great job re: our little despot. I might vote for his comms team, but not him. He is manufactured.

The Rs won because their vitriol was outward facing. Let's take a pg from their book. Win the majority, then sort things between ourselves.

No one is settling for anyone as a candidate. I will note, however, that a great candidate in Massachusetts may not be able to get elected in Alabama. That is the brilliance of democracy.

It is especially rich that our senator, Rick Scott is leading the charge to reduce Medicare benefits, after having looted its piggy bank. This reminds me of our very Christian women who lash themselves to RR tracks to protest abortion after having had one (or several). Guilt -> activism.

Are you being silly? Is this some purity test? In WWII it took the Allies + the Soviets to defeat Hitler. Not exactly bedfellows. This is real life.

Many nations have plural party parliamentary systems. Coalitions are required to pass legislation, even if they hate each other.

I just made reference to that and am screeching at the talking heads for never conducting real interviews. The Sunday morning line up w/ the crossword was my routine for decades. I won't even watch them now. I come away with more frustration and no new insights/information.

I don't feel inclined to vote for him, but he has a great comms team, and is filling a void.

In life, politics, business, coalitions are often required to reach a metric. Alliances between foes, friends, are common. Once done, each to his own.

Wasn't legislation proposed (more than once) that Congress wouldn't get paid in the event of a shutdown?

It would dilute his brand.

It's kinda like watching a movie, where the kids go down into the dark basement. We scream at the TV. Why don't the talking heads ever ask the obvious questions? Aren't they supposed to be wresting information out of an interview so that we know more at the end than the beginning?
