The Constitution as designed by the founders was supposed to prevent the current regime. Its original guardrails did not work. The ones added after the Civil War did not work. The de facto amendments created by the accretion of judicial decisions did not work. The post-Watergate reforms did not work

The Times is reporting SCOTUS allows Lisa Cook to stay at the Federal Reserve and sets argument for January UNLIKE all the other agency officials SCOTUS has allowed Trump to fire pending appeal. I agree with this one, disagree with the rest, but once again no legal basis for distinction. #notacourt

I think it's d: Roberts has no interest in having SCOTUS "fulfill its intended role in our constitutional system" since he's ALWAYS had a grander role in mind: they don't decide cases, they decide policy at the highest/broadest possible level. They took it slowly at first, but now at breakneck speed
