House Democrats need to reject this bad deal. Giving up on the 24 million people about to face astronomical health premium hikes — in exchange for a hypothetical future vote that Mike Johnson may not agree to & Trump certainly won’t sign — is truly weak.

The federal workforce should just go on a national strike already… this is the Republican Party shut down the government, stripped healthcare and snap, people should walk out for that alone. Hit them back already.

Most of the power authoritarians have is freely given. We should not comply with them in advance.

Trump is far weaker than he looks. So is the GOP. We should draw them out, drain them at every opportunity, and fight for people’s wellbeing at every turn.

Rhetoric matters, clearly. “The right way”, wouldn’t lead to violence - you might spend some time investigating how his words caused serious harm to others and then revisit you’re, frankly lazy, rushed to write an op-ed, “right way” headline. I don’t celebrate his death, nor do I celebrate his life
