I’m not the first one to make this point, but part of what gives a constitution value is that it (is supposed to) provided checks against illiberal election outcomes.

I would be delighted for this government to be dissolved to give way to the national guard of Illinois or whatever other scenario, but you can’t just abandon those of us who can’t escape and are doing the work of supporting our communities because we aren’t a majority.

If you think living wherever you do that you’re free and safe from these jackals just because they happen to be in the minority there, then I don’t know what to tell you. This is my home. And I’m not going anywhere. And it would be nice if you would recognize that we’re in this together.

Look, nobody hates them more than I do, but what is your suggestion here? Flee or be subjugated? I have as much of a right to constitutional protection as someone living in Illinois, so why not instead of casting me and my family to the wolves maybe instead speak of solidarity and mutual
