Going to say this again for those of you following along at home who understand how courts (mostly still) work: This here is what the kids are calling "evidence"; don't believe me? Ask any prosecutor with their salt what a post like this does for a case against a defendant.

Back where I come from, judges and lawyers often refer to this kind of thing as "evidence" that can be used in a process also often referred to as "discovery."

This is my favorite statement in all of 2025 about how we have to start regarding our relationship to social platforms.

Broadcast media has been in decline for 2+ decades. Ellison was embraced by Hollywood for one reason: he’s not private equity and he wasn’t going to sell the physical studio to a developer. His analog isn’t Russia. It’s Mayer’s disastrous tenure at Yahoo.

That doesn’t follow the logic of the media reporters I follow. I don’t think he has a real plan outside of wanting to own a traditional movie studio that daddy paid for. The network is a liability and he just made it worse for himself. Not that he knows that because he’s really not that smart.
