I am still on Twitter where there is much love for him. Also, big happiness about immigrants being detained & much adoration for full army guarding the streets. Also, a strong voice toward taking our country by force & we should just get over being a country. Just nihilism as far as you can see.

Fantastic list!!! Especially the 80s cuz if you don't know or weren't born early enough you probably think it's all wall to wall Whitney Huston and Phil Collins.

We hadn't done any better by a long shot but real progress has been made in the last 50 years. Nunavut in the Arctic is a very successful land claim completely run by the Inuit. There are other success stories but improvement has to always be a part of a sitting gov't. here, we demand it.

I am Canadian so I don't really have an opinion on that. Here our Indigenous population, though treated dismally for decades now have a lot of empowerment, rights and say in how things are done (w room for improvement of course). It's great to have their input, we love it.

There is a significant, powerful and wealthy Indigenous population in Alaska, I think they might have some thoughts on this too.

Our county is a dry tinderbox, if they banned hiking here I would be all for it because you know what? People start fires unwittingly all the time & the heat/dry temp. might make the smallest accident into the most raging fire. I don't want my home engulfed in flames TY.

The fire that is (and I was wrong about the distance) about 40km away from my home is still out of control but responders are doing a great job. A lot of people are reaching out to me to ask if I will be evacuated. I don't think anyone realizes what an extreme option that is.

I used motor boats at age 12 with no license so I can't point that finger. The lake is public, it should be respected as such. Those things need designated areas. Or only allowed on lakes big enough so that they can run amok without bothering anyone else.

I know they are fun, I get it but so was smoking. While camping we watched loads of them run around the lake for no reason but to make waves. The waves disturbed my nephew's fishing - why does their enjoyment rate over his? They need designated areas.

People who own or rent skidoos do so to be obnoxious, they are not enjoying a lake or the sunset or engaged in a natural endeavour. They are devouring up everyone else's peace at a swimming place.

It's still totally hot here and scary dry - and it's this lack of rain that freaks us rural types out most - but the trees still create this coolness that city people can never feel without air conditioning.

Defunding Sesame Street might be the worst thing culturally for the US yet. Just about every artist in their 50s/60s has been influenced by public broadcasting through programs like it - especially those in small communities without access to big city types of culture.
