Both goalies have been great, and the team has been ridiculous on defense all tournament. 31 goals in six games, only one allowed, five shutouts. Absolute madness.

Also if you haven’t been following how the US Women’s team has been doing, you’re missing out. Aerin Frankel has been amazing. She’s already had THREE shutouts and this is her first Olympics.

I will cheer for the teams, but man, the US Olympic Hockey Teams’ jerseys are so boring compared to most of the other countries.

There’s two pairs of runners where they have the same letter, but use different colors so I’ll have to pay extra attention to if an “F” part needs to come from the blue runner or the black.

Only chance all week I’ve had both time and energy to build, but got the first leg done of the Real Grade Nu Gundam (Fukuoka style)

Forgot to post this last night, quickly finished special version of the Gunpla-kun I got via Secret Santa in a builders group I’m in. The different colors are to make it look like the movie poster art.

Of course, seeing this design come out so well, I can’t help but think if Kotobukiya can manage this, why can’t Bandai get us a 1/100 of the BuCUE and/or LaGOWE?

I’m already looking at other HMM Zoids models go consider putting on my wish list. The Dark Horn is really catching my eye.

Still, I am so glad this kit got reprinted and I finally took the plunge on it and built a non-Gundam mecha design I really like.

The only other thing that stood out to me as small annoyance is that occasionally the directions would change the orientation of a piece being worked on from one step to the next without any indication, which could get a little confusing.

The kit does come with some waterslide decals, but I ended up not using them, partially because there was no guide for their placement, which is one of my few minor gripes.

For my build, the only additional work I really did was panel lining (this kit has some fantastic details that come out) and using a gold paint marker on the teeth, claws, and pistons on the legs.

It’s a model that walks the line between looking great as a straight build, but there’s plenty of places where it could accept more detail if you wanted to add to it.

Finished up the HMM 1/72 Liger Zero Panzer last night.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this model since I hadn’t built anything from this line by Kotobukiya, but after completing it, I can say that I am very satisfied with the build.

Hind leg armor complete. All that’s left is the head armor, but the siren call of bedtime has come. Hoping I can squeeze in one more build session this week, but work has been pretty exhausting and I don’t want to rush and mess up anything now.

Certain cues of the “Gundam in Danger” music are burned into my brain because I watched this trailer on the Journey to Jaburo PS2 game many times. I’d seen the movies in Japanese by this point but it was exciting to see the TV series was getting a full release on home video

There’s a handful of things I still hold onto like this. I love seeing not just how anime fandom continues to evolve but also the different ways fans were marketed to.

I understand not everyone is fortunate enough for things like GLP-1s, but after so much of my life being viewed as a fat guy who just wasn’t trying, it was monumental to have a new primary care doctor understand that I was actively trying to be healthy, there was just another piece to the puzzle.
