This is clearly genuine, and I have to imagine that Ireland's own history with a preventable famine explains why Israel's genocide resonates so much. What Palestinians are going through today is not that different from what the Irish did, only this time it's being live-streamed.

We Came By Sea We Came by Sea is a writer's journey through the small boats crisis, meeting the people who work tirelessly to save the lives of refugees - it is the story of an untold greater Britain.

I made it through #r4today this morning without rage quitting, assisted by torrential rain delaying my morning run. I was rewarded by an interview with Horatio Clare. A lovely example of patriotism in the sense of being proud of the good things the UK does.

Israel is accused of the gravest war crimes in Gaza Distinguished lawyers, senior humanitarians and diplomats tell Jeremy Bowen why they are increasingly concerned about the catastrophe inside Gaza

Jeremy Bowen's long, measured, objective, but ultimately entirely clear and conclusive essay on Israeli war crimes. As Jonathan Sumption puts it:

"These things make genocide the most plausible explanation for what is now happening."

Francesca Albanese—

"I call it genocide b/c IT IS genocide. Defined by intent, not by method or means. Visible without magnification—if we look with context, at the victims: what they share is being part of a group, as such. B/c of it, they get killed, tortured, maimed, starved, raped, massacred."

While Robert Jenrick MP spends his days wandering about the underground tackling fare dodgers and going on about the capital for clicks... his constituency has a genuine problem.

● Newark crime rate: 123 crimes per 1,000

● London 105.8 per 1,000

But you know... "Sadiq"

It’s shocking and I find it incredible that he’s pivoted so far away from his early beliefs. I can’t think of a single excuse or justification for this. I’m angry but also confused. I feel betrayed and a bit stupid for trusting he’d do the right thing. Why is Angela Rayner putting up with this 💩

Labour going hard on immigration =
1. Damaging the economy
2. Pushing pissed off left-leaning voters to the Greens, Plaid, the SNP and the LibDems
3. Offering nowhere near enough for Reform-leaning voters
All in all, politically and economically illiterate.
