I just really love cats. London and sometimes the north.

That looks like a road you'd do some dark magical deeds down.

This is the best encapsulation of subreddits about any sort of hobby or passion I've ever seen.

Haha excellent. It'll be absolutely amateur hour compared to the best game of all time (Stardew Valley) but I hope you enjoy your allotment and carrot.

Thank you! I think it's COVID. Second time in just under 11 months

The one good thing about being sick is lying in bed all day playing Stardew Valley to distract me from my aches and pains

I'll just cut the door in half. Sorted.

Haha yep! My mum grew up in Totton, on the east side of the forest, and so I grew up going to my grandparents in the summers and being warned about the ponies. They're lovely and very cheeky. And potentially bitey!

The cats would probably not be overly pleased with a pony in the bathroom but I could convert the shed to a stable.

Yep same. I met a shire horse on the Isle of Wight when I was a child and it was amazing. I still remember it 30 years later!

I met the most beautiful pony in the new forest last week. It took all my strength not to steal her.

I bet a visit from the farrier feels great. Imagine having your feet rebalanced once every 6-8 weeks.

Shops* not shapes. The COVID has truly addled my brain.

Hahaha ok but how great would that be? Oh man I'd love being able to gallop to the shapes and pack my saddle bags with food and then trot home. Going out for a Sunday gallop in the fields etc.

I have come down with what appears to be my second bout of COVID in the past 11 months and it seems like the right time to admit this: if I was rich I'd 100% be a horse girl.

Isn't it just fantastic! The staff are so wonderful and knowledgeable, and they've got a fantastic selection of birds. I loved how they made sure to include the vultures and more unusual birds in all the flying sessions as well as the traditionally popular birds to educate about them.

If you ever find yourself in The New Forest, I highly recommend Liberty's Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre.

Pugsley the Black vulture

Pugsley the Black vulture

My favourite was the black vulture Pugsley who was the silliest, cutest most playful goober. He kept trying to untie the falconers shoelaces when he wanted more chicken, and was like this silly playful puppy. (Photo stolen from the reviews of the sanctuary as I forgot to take one)

I met some vultures last week and learned that not only are they such amazing, vital part of the worlds ecosystem and many species are critically endangered, but they're also beautiful in a really unique way, and so very smart. They're also really playful and silly.

Haha yep! When I was a child I spent many summers here as my grandparents lived in Totton, so it was always drummed into me to be careful as they bite. They're so cheeky!
