I've known Amina Shah for over 25 years, she is one of the finest people I've ever worked with and someone with immense integrity. She leads the library profession from a strongly values-based position, and I will always have immense respect for her and trust in her. She's a great National Librarian

SΓ©amas O'Reilly: The restaging of a single interview must be catnip for audiences This week, A Very Royal Scandal dropped on Amazon Prime, the second big-budget filmic treatment of Prince Andrew’s Newsnight interview to have been released in just five months

We waited five long months but we FINALLY got another feature length exploration of a single interview with Prince Andrew. On the curious puzzle of biopic bloat, and all the Houdini movies we'll never get to see.

I think the salary is more than enough to pay for suits, glasses, and frocks. Don't disagree that the PM should be paid more, though, something that reflects the gravity of the responsibility.

He can afford to pay for a box. Or yes, not go, given it costs the taxpayer to protect him when he does. It's hardly the sacrifice of the ages, and if you're PM, you give up some normal things for a period of time. That's just duty.

You can't get elected pretending you are an antidote to the Tories, then be just like them, and not expect criticism The problem is people have short memories, as this is exactly what New Labour were like first time too. Difference was for first five years of it the country had money to burn.
