Does anyone else find remote communication hard? As a teen, my phone calls were "When are we meeting? Who will be there? What can I bring? Ok bye." I've gotten better at voice for games, but I still find emailing, texting, and even social media like this, very hard to do. #autism #podcast

I am gonna start editing next weekend! Hopefully by September, I'll be able to release season 2 all about my college experience. I think season 3 will be about pregnancy and motherhood...and that might be long. And then season 4 about the workplace.

I think I agree as well. I feel like the numb part happens faster for me? Overwhelming crushing grief where the only way I cope in small moments is to help ease others, or organize important things for the family. And then, numb with brief pain, like someone pressing on a bruise now and then.

It's because behaviorist is easy. You can measure, get predictable responses, etc. In this case it can be ugly though.

After being totally overwhelmed by being asked to play the keyboard for a band song, I am finally to the point where I don't need to sheet music more than to glance at!

In my first episode, I talk about how risk bubbles shrink if you don't push yourself. Today I had that experience. Friends invited me kayaking and no one else in my family wanted to come. I had to navigate to an unknown place and deal with uncertainty. I almost called it off. I'm glad I didn't.

This past weekend I recorded two of the hardest experiences from college for the podcast. I had been putting it off because, well, it gave me anxiety. But I have done it! Two more episodes and I can start editing. #podcaster #autistic

The worst days? When it's getting warm and the migraines start. Pressure changes affect everything, and I can make it through about 2/3 of the day before I wish I could just go lay down .

Now that I'm learning to sing Rock/Pop songs on stage instead of the classical training I've had most of my life, I've realized that the latter is easier on my need for clear direction and consistency. When I get told to add "a little grit" to the end of a phrase, I feel a little awkward. #autism

I did my C, F,and G chord practice. It looks like I'm actually still semi ok at the keyboard. Got everything ready for a pool party. Navigated Costco. I feel so accomplished.

I'm putting this put into the world so I do it. It's almost a promise right? I will record two of the episodes this weekend. I will practice my keyboard chords and have my pool party and go to a friend's gaming party. That's...a lot of peopling. So breaks. But 4 days is enough to do it all right?

I've been terrible at updating. I went to Disney for a week and just yesterday sang at the anniversary of #schoolofrock in Northborough. I am proud as I got in front of people and sang a song the owner assigned to me that morning. Anyways, I have 5 episodes thought up. Just need to record.

Yeah. It was different back then. People didn't really get diagnosed. "Your daughter will find the things other finds easy very hard, and she will find things others struggle with easy." That was the diagnosis pretty much.
