We are RETIRED LABOR AND BEING ATTACKED by the New York State AFLCIO literally lobbying against our state bill to protect municipal retirees Medicare benefits.We earned it & our former union shouldn’t be trying to claw them back to finance raises for active workers. Raises yes but not on our backs

If @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social wants to be Mayor, he should meet with the largest retiree organization in the City to understand what the City has been doing to us for the last 4 years. Our earned benefits and pension are diminished to benefit others.

The MLC and city imposed co-pays on Medicare Retirees for the first time in 60 years to fund their contract that doesn’t benefit a retiree. These costs are a financial burden and prevent preventing some from accessing healthcare.

It does when it’s the groups policy and every candidate has already done so. Zohran was number two ranked in Dc37 who threatened every candidate. If they supported us, they would be unendorsed by them. At this point he’s already owned if he’s unwilling to sit with the largest retiree organization
