Toward Parsimony in Bias Research: A Proposed Common Framework of Belief-Consistent Information Processing for a Set of Biases
excellent paper on cognitive biases, where the authors identify a few fundamental beliefs as building blocks + confirmation bias to explain most biases. i would simplify the framework further into 3 fundamental beliefs - "_ am good", "_ make(s) correct assessments of the world",

He gets a lot of shit for being 100% correct on where to focus time, money and effort on β saw the big picture long before others and acted accordingly. All other causes are downstream of an open society and the rule of law β individual altruism will never have the power of a benevolent government

we can totally do DM's in bluesky
first we agree on a prime p and a primitive root g
then you pick a secret a, and publicly send me g^a mod p
then i pick a secret b, and publicly send you g^b mod p
now our shared secret is g^(ab) mod p, and we can use that as a symmetric AES key
