There seems to be some shared understanding among many thread participants here about what exists on the other side of the stochastic parrot argument/philosophy/framing, and I'm not engaged enough to know what that shared understanding is.

What competes with "stochastic parrot" here? Where is the "competing philosophy" best articulated? Asking as one who is a regular/happy Claude Code user who appreciates this discourse and who generally agrees that "stochastic parrot" fails to capture the depth of existing capabilities.

Unit conversion and intuition is an interesting sub-area of electrification. I used to buy gallons, therms and kWhs. Now I just buy kWhs (and often fewer of them. How do we "market" these benefits? How do we introduce "cheaper off-peak kWhs" when there's no such concept for therms or gallons?

I will eventually shut up about this but Bad Bunny’s use of the power lines is an outstanding example of how to communicate about climate and energy issues. Not about who is the smartest nerd in the room and spewing numbers but about people’s actual lives. Genius.
