I received a rejection from an agent at 7am on a Sunday, and that afternoon someone who beta read for me messaged to say she is still excitedly waiting for me to publish the book so her friends can read it. I realised then, that waiting for a one in a million chance around wasn’t cutting it!

Some people hate the revision stage. I love it. The first draft is the hardest part for me; everything gets easier after that (except marketing 😅). I love watching my work become better right before my eyes.

My husband thinks I’m nuts (as usual). I’ve had my first rejection and I’m so happy, because I’m actually putting myself out there and chasing something I’m passionate about. I’m sure this elation will wear down by the hundredth one though 😂 #amquerying
