I really liked your last speedroid video!

Inspired me to pick up the deck and also play it as a bit more of a midrange style too

And, of course, the hardware!

Obligatory pictures of our challenges from the weekend. I actually really liked this system once I'd gotten my head around it, although we did only get a 2 turn game 3 after a particularly nail-biting clash with an Archmagos

Had a wonderful weekend of hobbying, catching up with lots of friends, and realising that maybe 3rd edition Horus Heresy is actually fine? Good even?

Somehow Lloyd and I also won best warlords, which was a very pleasant surprise!

Streak 3 Day 6 🔥- And that's 5! The one on the right is looking a little too bright, but after the pin wash is done I'll edge highlight and then go back and get my grading right.

Streak 3 Day 5 🔥 - That's some more colours down on tactical 4. I have noticed they're getting brighter as the squad goes on, so I may have to double back and properly re-highlight.

Streak 3 Day 4 🔥 - Much more exciting, got some more paint down on another tactical, and brightened up the other 2 to match a bit more closely.

2 more left in this batch, then pin washing time. Once these are done, I need to get some Wolves going.

Streak 3 Day 3 🔥 - Not nearly as exciting as yesterday, but it looks like the heavy bolters for the Shadowsword printed nicely.

Not quite sure how, since the supports went a bit crazy.

Streak 3 Day 2 🔥 - Absolutely loads done today, feeling very positive. Got some more layers down on the 3 tacticals from yesterday, and managed to do a bit of work on the Shadowsword conversion too!

Streak 3 Day 1 🔥 - Took a day off, and back at things with some layers down on the remaining TSons in this batch.

I'm very keen to get going on the Shadowsword, and not just because of the looming deadline, so I'll be doing some modeling tomorrow!

Streak 2 Day 23 🔥 - Shadowsword's stripped and very conveniently broken apart for what I want to do.

Will start taking measurements and designing parts tomorrow. Maybe paint some more TSons too.

Streak 2 Day 22 🔥 - A total departure tonight in the light of the very exciting Legacies list released today.

Dug out a *very* old Shadowsword to strip it of its now 3 layers of paint. Will hopefully be showing off a lot more of this tank as I try to convert it to match the LI design.

Streak 2 Day 21 🔥 - I'm doing it! I'm batch painting! The days of painting one marine's leg in totality are behind me!

Desperately trying to remind myself not to do the metallics before I varnish everything this time.

Streak 2 Day 20 🔥 - Every day I feel more that I need to get a lightbox.

Saw I'd done nothing on marine 1's legs, so started some highlights going there.

I said I'd put it down to keep the batch moving, so got some preliminary colours down on marine 2.

Streak 2 Day 18 🔥 - Properly getting colours down on my first batch of 5 and it feels so good after so many days of just building marines.

Trying to work with a more ice-yellow top-end for my highlights to avoid the ash/dusty effect I got on my tester.

Streak 2 Day 17 🔥 - Well well well, Colourforge really knocked it out of the park with this one.

Had to get a little closer than I'm used to, but the colour is vivid, the finish is perfect, and I've still got a good 2/3rds of the can left!

Why did I decide all 5 needed drilling on every bolter?

Streak 2 Day 15 🔥 - My fledgling Thousand Sons are on the very cusp of being ready for priming!

Sculpting's all done, last few printed bits just need gluing down (excluding the last khopesh that seems cursed), and then a lot of barrel drilling tomorrow.

Tactical Squad 1 is built! Planning to hit it hard tomorrow and get Squad 2 and the HSS sorted.

I did slightly over enthusiastically remove the supports on one of the helmets; some restorative sculpting will be needed.

Now that I'm looking at it in the daylight, it does look a bit like my Wolves have weed on it - guess that's day 7 planned out nicely

Streak 2 Day 6 🔥 - Back to the tanks and just having a bit of fun pushing oils around and seeing what looks nice. My Azo Brown is much greener than I expected, so next iteration will work some reds in.
