On Saturday, November 15th from 12:00pm - 4:00pm the Ultra Mega home studio will be open to the public.

I'll be sharing more information about the open house tomorrow. But for now, thank you again. Thank you so much to everyone who's helped get us this far! Really looking forward to showing you all the cool things you've made possible. :)

This open house is also when I'll announce our very first "Open Print" days, where folks will be invited to bring their projects and use the machines for a low cost. The entire goal of this fundraiser! Very exciting.

So, what now?

A party! An open house! Whatever you wanna call it!

On Saturday, November 15th, I'm inviting everyone over to come check out the space and the tools. I'll be demonstrating what they are, how they work, and maybe even letting a few folks try their hands at 'em.

I have to admit, five months of fundraising and a smattering of events I've planned have left me feeling a bit tired. But from here on, I don't intend to have so many overlapping projects all at once. Until April, I'm focusing squarely on planning @licz.bsky.social and developing the print studio.

It's time to get PRINTING! It's time to get PUBLISHING! Lansing, I want to hear all your weird little zine ideas and help you bring 'em to life. I want to help you make exciting posters to decorate our city with! I wanna figure out what other strange objects we can make together, too.

Now we're in the final stretch. We're 91% of the way through this campaign, an absolutely crazy thing that I get to say. This final $500 will mean getting stocked up on extra tubes of ink, masters, and paper to give us room to experiment and teach all the new folks who drop by.

If you've been keeping an eye out, you've seen some folks have been printing already. Flyers for some events have been posted, all produced by Friend, our little Risograph. I've been slowly inviting individuals over, to practice teaching folks before I open the floodgates for Open Print days.

Planning has been slower than I'd expected, because of a few other projects I've been invited to co-plan (an art market, a gallery exhibit, and a mini-zine fest—you should come to all of them!) but those will be wrapping up in the next few weeks.

Yesterday, at @lansinglit517's market event, I was holding back tears as a recent donor told me how clear it was that so many people wanted this.

I know she was right. It is very apparent. It really boggles my mind—over a hundred people have contributed to making this happen. An absolute dream.
