UN: Failing to act on climate change is a violation of international law The long and much-anticipated International Court of Justice (ICJ) opinion on climate change today ruled that a “clean, healthy and sustainable environment” is a human right.

The ICJ has ruled that human rights cannot be separated from the right to a “clean, safe and sustainable environment,” and that failure to address climate change impacts constitutes a violation of international law.

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

Many beauty products have toxic ingredients. Newly proposed bills could change that The "Safer Beauty Bill Package" would ban the most toxic ingredients in everyday cosmetics and create protections for the women of color and salon workers who are disproportionately exposed to them.
