I’m looking for holiday card ideas that capture my outrage at our current country yet subtle enough that my parents will display it without fully understanding it.

Yeah this is the one silver lining in all this. You could argue that republicans were never going to cave to the shutdown and SNAP. So rather than harm millions and millions, opening the government and forcing a separate healthcare vote only harms … millions. (Harsh but better?)
