It’s literally exhausting to see the worst beings in society being allowed to get away with doing terrifyingly horrible things.

considering the track record that political parties with 'freedom' in their name have, i will be voting for the 'totalitarian hellhole' party

Wow. Who could’ve guessed the party that’s led to country to a recession every time they’ve been in charge in the last 40 years would lead the country to a recession again?

I’m sure the guy who cheated at golf, marriage, business, taxes, insurance claims, and elections will provide us with 100% accurate jobs’ numbers after handpicking a new crony.

Headline: β€œconfused about the economy?”

Newsflash: the President has been lying to everyone, doesn’t know what the hell he is doing, and is surrounded by a bunch of sycophants too frightened of him to stop him

The United States, in the entirety of its history, has never had a government so corrupt.

The blinding lack of transparency, accountability, responsibility and the utter lawlessness is killing us.

From the White House to SCOTUS, from Congress to FBI, we are a putrid version of what we were.

Sure, the market is going to tank today, but it’s just short-term pain for long-term pain.

The Rule of Law Is Dead in the US The rule of law presupposes that there are rules that provide a consistent, repeatable, and knowable set of outcomes. That’s no longer the case.

This will have to count as my Supreme Court term review.

I make that point that there's no point in reviewing what the Supreme Court has done because the rule of law is dead in this country anyway.

People can’t afford rent or groceries and the federal minimum wage is still $7.25/hour.

That is a slap in the face.

If you work full-time, your paycheck should be enough to live on. Anything less is a failure to uphold the social contract.

People tend to see free software initiatives as something weird because there are no economic incentives for volunteers. But most people I know make things for free as soon as they're able to pay the bills.

I think that's natural. The weird thing is hoarding money when you already have millions.

I can’t stop thinking about how the Access Hollywood tape came out before the election even happened, yet suddenly we have people concerned that the President might have lied about being a sexual predator who were totally fine with it when he told the truth about being a sexual predator

very grim

If Trump had nothing to hide, he wouldn't force Mike Johnson to threaten to SHUT DOWN THE HOUSE until September to block a vote on the Epstein files.

I'm more convinced than ever that the country lost its soul at Guantanamo.

It's where state sanctioned torture & permanent detention without due proces we're normalized.

It's patient zero for the bipartisan disregard for international norms and the rule of law that defines our moment.

There are two big steps towards authoritarianism: takeover of the judicial branch and the destruction of free media. Both are ongoing in the US.

We should have a four day work week.

There’s no reason that with all our technological advances, we are still holding on to a five day work week.

People need more time to rest and socialize. That’s just common sense.
