Kinda dipping my toes into lotr spaces is funny because the majority of people are like "I watch it every year" and I've watched it once almost every week since November of last year and if I didn't watch the lotr trilogy, I watched wotr or the animated hobbit or the rotoscoped LOTR. Like pls 😅

So a few days ago I was doing laundry and my favorite place to fold laundry is on my couch because it has a foot rest like a trundle or drawer that pulls out from under said couch. When I was done I put the foot rest back but I guess this silly girl, a gray tabby named Buu, had gotten under there and was then trapped. Hours passed - maybe 3 or 4 hours - and both my partner and I had pushed the foot rest back in because it was popped out a little bit, not knowing Buu was under there trying to push it out to free herself. A little bit later, my partner heard her meowing but she meows so softly and so rarely that we couldn't pinpoint where the meows were coming from. About 45 minutes later, my partner figured it out and freed her. She ran straight to me, nuzzled me for a solid 10 minutes. I'm talking trying to burrow inside my face kind of nuzzling. Then she settled down and took a nap on my legs. This is a picture of my sweet girl taking that nap after her very stressful evening.

Disability is so weird because wym last week I spent 3h on my feet meal prepping and I was tired but fine at the end of it but this week I got the shakes 45m in and had to sit on a stool the rest of the time?

Anyway here's my late Caturday offering sry for the delay I was flared up.

To be clear, I have never done that but I really want to. Instead what I'll do is clench my jaw and do my best to dissociate then spend an inordinate amount of time regulating myself afterward.

Noise canceling headphones are the shit because I can hear my partner pull the vacuum out and I'll put them on and then I don't want to curl up in a ball with my hands clamped over my ears and my eyes shut and scream the whole time. Which is what I want to do.

Last time I talked to my brother, he took time out of his night sitting in the hospital with his toddler who was just dx with leukemia to verbally abuse me because I reinforced a boundary. I told my therapist and asked for her professional opinion.

"That is fucked up." is what she said.

Got a 2 person (myself included) book club going reading the Earthsea books and I can't really properly convey how happy I am to finally be embracing the fantasy nerd within me.

Idk what part of getting older this is but it sucks shit.

Poor season 3 of Daredevil. I just cannot be fucked to actually pay attention to 80% of it but I don't wanna be completely lost when I watch Born Again.

So I guess I'm asking all my disabled siblings for recommendations. For canes. I'd like a rollator but realistically my house is too small for that to really be viable. I don't wanna end up with something flimsy but money is tight. So any suggestions help.

Well, I had to get out of bed and let my dog out because my son is asleep and my partner works. I used the broom as a cane and felt so much more confident in my ability to see the task of walking across the entire house done.

Today is a day where I feel flared up. I did a few loads of laundry, lots of stairs and bending and lifting and carrying. Idk what I have. I assume it's some kind of dysautonomia. I don't think it's POTS because it doesn't seem to be postural.

I love spring. It's when I wake up at 3am with a sneezing fit and the tops of my fingers and my ear lobes itch like crazy.
