When I was a kid, I got real upset that the gentile kids I _knew_ were awful all got gifts from Santa, while the kind Jewish kids (including myself, I admit I was that smug) didn't get anything.

My parents told me the truth, but also made me promise to not tell other kids that Santa wasn't real.

It's been a hard year, but at least there's been some wins to be had. Hopefully 2026 will be better.
