Also consider setting up quarterly reminders for yourself to check where you're at with your deductible. It can help with timing of things that have some scheduling flexibility to get the biggest bang from your deductible buck.

If you've had recent charges, double check your plan documents. Because sometimes if you haven't met your deductible the previous plan year, they'll carry over deductible amounts from the previous quarter to get you a sort of head start into the current year deductible.

When I was young, I'd take the train into Boston for a fun day. First stop was always the bakery for a fresh baguette that I'd nibble on all day. It was less than a dollar and was my food for the day. If I timed it right, it'd be warm, but then I finished it quickly, because warm bread... sigh...

I don't know the adage, but *absolutely* don the Hoot Growl regalia!

When I tell you that we call them "coolahs", you'll know where I'm from.

(and waiting over 2 weeks for that diagnosis, thereby losing a whole fridge and freezer full of food), and $$ car repair AND getting home from picking it up and finding the horn didn't work so back to the shop on Monday just isn't enough suckage yet. Apparently.

I have just discovered that mice somehow got into my large yarn cabinet and have destroyed a LOT of my stash. Because apparently needing a $$$ new furnace, $$ repair to the water heater, $$ for an electrician to tell me the problem is outside so call the utility...

The sunglasses live in the car and the computer glasses live in my office. When I need to go back and forth indoor/outdoor, I'll wear both bifocals and sunglasses on strings to easily swap.

I'm old. I have "everyday" bifocals that are on my face all the time when I'm not wearing others or sleeping. Then there's the rx sunglasses with really big lenses that are single focus because the bifocal ones made me crazy. 3rd pair are my reading rx in full-size and specialized for computer work.
