Assorted cardboard boxes. The brown packing paper inside those boxes. The cable on my circular knitting needles. The yarn I'm currently knitting with. Bottle caps. Milk jug rings. And the one thing I crocheted that's *actually* a cat toy: 4 long spirals knotted together. With or without the stick.

Also consider setting up quarterly reminders for yourself to check where you're at with your deductible. It can help with timing of things that have some scheduling flexibility to get the biggest bang from your deductible buck.

If you've had recent charges, double check your plan documents. Because sometimes if you haven't met your deductible the previous plan year, they'll carry over deductible amounts from the previous quarter to get you a sort of head start into the current year deductible.

Review of "Chicken: 101 Ways":
The recipes were OK, but they really should've included some different proteins like pork, beef, or fish. And not a *single* vegetarian recipe! (Harumph!) ...

Lots of good lessons from yesterday's election but I think one of the top best lessons is ranked choice voting enables systematic change. We need it everywhere. Ranked choice at the local, state, and federal levels. Ranked choice in post offices and cafeterias. Ranked choice on supermarket shelves

When I was young, I'd take the train into Boston for a fun day. First stop was always the bakery for a fresh baguette that I'd nibble on all day. It was less than a dollar and was my food for the day. If I timed it right, it'd be warm, but then I finished it quickly, because warm bread... sigh...

I'm old. I have "everyday" bifocals that are on my face all the time when I'm not wearing others or sleeping. Then there's the rx sunglasses with really big lenses that are single focus because the bifocal ones made me crazy. 3rd pair are my reading rx in full-size and specialized for computer work.
