Do you ever randomly get mad at people for something they did 20+ years ago? Not new discoveries, I mean like you're just doing your thing, and all of a sudden you're fuming over some slight from 2001?

It is okay to grieve the story you thought you'd be living by now. It is okay to mourn all the moments that may now never happen while still finding little ways to fall in love with the life you do have. They can both exist.

I know we feel hopeless and helpless, but there are things we can do. We can help our fellow humans who need to eat! Donating to a food bank is a great way to do this, and Charlotte is nearly halfway to her new goal of $5000, which will buy *50,000* meals.

Update: after 49 minutes, the surgeon finally connected to the consultation Zoom call. After waiting another 41 minutes for him to unmute and turn on his video to actually start talking to us, we posted this message in the chat and hung up. I'm not super confident about this surgery now.

My surgeon is almost 45 minutes late to my 30 minute consultation. This bodes well.

We got a SNAP deposit! It's about 1/5 of what we normally get. 😑

I broke out the big coat for the first time this season today. Winter is coming! ❄️

I stop my pain medication tomorrow so it's out of my system by the time I get surgery in a couple of weeks. Then I can't have it for another couple of weeks after because it would increase bleeding.

It's going to be a long November.

20 years ago, my quiet friend asked if I liked him as more than a friend, and my response was one of the best yeses of my life. We've been through a lot, ups and downs, and even sideways, but that spark has never gone out. I love you so much honey. Here's to the next 20 years. ❤️

I feel like I say this every year but I really need people to hear it. Halloween is the best American holiday. Just kids outside welcomed into their world, marching around together, showing off their costumes to the elderly, parents meeting parents, neighbors catching up with neighbors.

New ballot requirements result in high number of rejections With the November election just weeks away, the Missoula County Elections Office has rejected an unusually high number of ballots due to their noncompliance with new state law

If you're voting by mail in Montana, be sure to sign your ballot envelope and write your birth year if you want your vote to be counted. They've gone and fixed another problem that didn't exist.
