All these people saying "just go to the county clerk and get XYZ and/or get a passport" don't seem to understand that not everyone still lives where they were born/got married, and even if they do they still have to take time off during business hours, and all those additional documents COST MONEY.

Nothing drives home the fact that you're in your mid-40s like getting a new pair of glasses, wearing them for a few hours, and realizing you likely need bifocals. Le sigh.

This is probably my depression talking, but someone needs to invent a way for me to safely and sustainably sleep in the shower.

What's your family holiday dinner must-have that other people think is odd? Mine is plain mashed rutabaga. It's more important than the main dish. One year my grandma used canned rutabagas for Thanksgiving and the family still talks about how bad they were almost 30 years later.
