Had a great day at Tramlines festival in Sheffield on Friday. Highlights before Pulp were John Shuttleworth, John Cooper Clarke, Baxter Dury and John Grant.

The Waterboys were great last night at the Glasshouse in gateshead. I really liked how they presented their new album and still played a good portion of oldies. Still a vital vibrant live band.

They were great. Agree about the venue. We got in relatively early but given the eye watering price of drinks I might have been better off outside in the queue!
Seen them a few times and always a fantastic live band.

Enjoyed Stockton Calling yesterday. Maximo Park excellent as always. Pretty much a festival set for a hometown(ish) gig. Other highlights for me were Swannek, Nature Kids and Home Counties. A great day out although the cancellation of the last train home put a bit of a downer on the day.

Off to stockton Calling. Maximo Park, avalanche party, Adult Dvd all on but also a day to get out and about and see a few names new to me.

Little Barrie were electric last night at the common room of the North in Newcastle. Great gig.
