02.08.2025 15:03 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Tragic. I feel like my insides are being ripped out. The dismantling of our natural systems is going too far.
02.08.2025 14:40 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Natural systems are what sustain life on this planet. I see the connections every day in plant and animal communities. These living systems are currently under attack. I will fight until my end for the plants and animals and future generations of people smarter than us that need them.๐ฆ
02.08.2025 14:37 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's been a disappointing year for butterflies, again. I haven't seen many in my #nativegarden. It used to be common to see five or six at a time.
Enjoy one of the only red-spotted purples I've seen this year, visiting purple coneflowers.

Digital rendering of a large conservation planting design. View is looking down a sedge "river" winding into the rain garden space, flow directed by berms w/ boulders covered with blocks of plantings that create a rhythm through the space. Ribbons of native plants densely vegetate this 300' x 40' area designed by the author with the intention of slowing the infiltration and temporary holding of stormwater runoff from the adjacent road, building, parking lot, and turf.
With an amazing talented team of native plant landscape designers, we're going to change how people perceive planting and show them the multitude of stacked ecological services available like pollinator conservation, stormwater management, reduced maintenance, carbon sequestration, aesthetic, etc.
