I am America.
I’m a retired teacher who encouraged young students to share their stories, hopes, and dreams (and value those of others).
All children should feel seen and heard and be represented by those who advocate for a country where needs are met and stories, hopes, and dreams are valued.
The people who respond to the No Kings protests by arguing that the United States doesn’t have a king, are the same people who respond to the Black Lives Matter with “ all lives matter.”

Trump is not stupid. He talks about taking over Canada and Greenland but that won’t/can’t happen. Meanwhile he’s destroying the economy, increasing the deficit, undermining the election process, taking away our rights, and more. Keep your eyes on what’s really going on not on his performance art.
