Today we remember Henry Moseley, the Oxford physicist whose X-ray spectroscopy work reshaped our understanding of the elements. He was killed in action at Gallipoli in 1915, aged just 27.

Helles Memorial, a Commonwealth War Graves Commission memorial to the Gallipoli Campaign and to those who served and have no known grave. The memorial features a tall obelisk and numerous internal and external wall panels bearing the names of the fallen, arranged by unit, with a blue sky beyond and grass in the foreground
